It's the most wonderful time of the year

Christmas time is my favourite time of the year without a doubt! I usually start my own celebrations in November by listening to Christmas songs, making gingerbread cookies and decorating my room accordingly. Buying and wrapping presents is also one of my favourite things to do around christmas time. I feel like everyone is more giving and in a better mood in general this time of the year.

During the past years I've spent Christmas in Finland, Spain, Morocco, Kenya, Thailand and this year in India. I must say that spending Christmas in Finland (usually at my grandma's) feels coziest, because of the snow and just basic traditions that have formed over the years, like going to church on Christmas Eve and drinking glögi (a traditional Christmas drink). This year my family decided to come to Kerala, India for Christmas. Celebrating christmas in +30 c and eating Indian food on Christmas Eve is quite different, not that I'm complaining (I never want to leave this paradise) :) I think that's because the Finnish traditional winter is cold, snowy and it's so exotic here. I think it's great exploring different kinds of Christmas' though. Here's what Christmas in Kerala looks like.
